INVEGA is a medication option for the treatment of schizophrenia.

INVEGA is what is called an atypical antipsychotic. INVEGA helps treat both the "positive" and the "negative" symptoms of schizophrenia.

INVEGA tablets are taken once daily, in the morning, with or without food. You should take your medication as directed by your doctor.

INVEGA uses a special technology called OROS™ to control the release of medicine into the body over a 24-hour period.

Because of its extended-release technology, INVEGA must be swallowed whole with water or another liquid. INVEGA tablets should never be chewed, divided, or crushed.

The medicine in INVEGA is contained within a nonabsorbable shell. The tablet shell is eliminated from the body, so don’'t be concerned if you see something resembling a tablet in your stool.
